Stuck on You

In a matter of seconds, Sam turned his potty seat upside down and placed it over his head. And -boom - it was stuck around his kneck! We could not lift it off. First it would get stuck on his ears. His ears got red as I attempted to slowly guide the potty seat upwards. I would get it over one ear, he would scream, pull on the potty seat downward, saying, "No, Mommy, it hurts, it hurts, cut it off, just leave it on, cut if off..." - complete chaos. After several attempts I called a friend to help and well, I must admit I just wanted her to see what Sam had done. Kind of funny, really. But, Sam did NOT find it funny in the least. He got really upset when I took the picture! My friend and I managed to get it over his little ears (after putting a soft girls headband over his ears to hold them down and protect them from the scratchy plastic). But, then it was stuck on his head above his ears. More screaming, more tears. Okay, this is getting sad. Am I going to have to take him to the fire station to get them to cut it off. I cut through the covering and the cushion part to find a thick plastic base. How was I going to cut through this???? We tried several pairs of shears (very carefully of course b/c I was cutting right next to his kneck). As we got literally milimeters of cutting success. Then my friend thought of her poultry shears!!!!! We used those to safely complete the cut. And, "TA DA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". Sam was free of his potty seat.

Boys, huh????
